Operating System - Windows XP SP3
Program Version - Actual Windows Manager Version 5.5 Beta 1
Note: This perspective is coming from someone transitioning from AWM 4.5 to AWM 5.5b1.
In my prior version of AWM (4.5), I was able to set up a window rule that included a Startup -> Change caption set to nothing. The result would be that the window would open with the original caption and then, regardless of how it would normally change without AWM, kept that same caption.
This was extremely useful to me setting up rules for folders. I had window rules for My Computer, My Documents, etc, etc. - all built from the Window Caption and Program. Then I had a window rule for all other folders. Those other windows would keep the same caption. That way, they would not change a caption when I explored to My Computer and then be overtaken by that rule.
Now, if I leave the caption blank, it changes the caption to no text.
Please consider changing this back, as I can't imagine cases where anyone would want a blank caption on a window, or, at the least, add a checkbox giving me the ability to force the window to keep the original caption.
Please advise.
Thank you!

Dear Joseph,
Thank you for your request.
Since version 4.5 we changed the logic of this function, so we decided to remove this function. Unfortunately we did not take into account the possibility of such use of this option. I added your wish to our list of future changes. We'll include it to one of our next releases.

Is there any chance this could be squeezed into this upcoming release?
I use the functionality constantly. For instance, having 5 specific folder rules and 1 other rule for all other folders. If I can't force the caption to stay the same, rules get reapplied to existing windows, which messes me up.
I appreciate your consideration.

Yes, it's very likely that we return this option in the final version 5.5.

In my opinion, it would be a bit overemotional
