But could you temporarily change the Scale setting for the main monitor to 100%, log off the system, then log on and try to reproduce the problem to see whether it's associated with the Scale setting?

Argh - it took forever to get everything back to the way I had it - but I did as you asked - no change in behavior.

As I said at the beginning of this thread, everything was working correctly until the recent AMM update.

Ping, ping....

As I said at the beginning of this thread, everything was working correctly until the recent AMM update. Is there a graceful fall-back to the previous version?

David,

Yes, please do the following to roll back to the previous version:

1. Open AMM Configuration, go to the "Options > Check for Updates" panel and disable there the Automatically check box.

2. Open the "%AllUsersProfile%\Actual Tools\Actual Multiple Monitors" folder and delete there the Updates subfolder to clear the already downloaded updates to prevent their automatic installation (%AllUsersProfile% by default maps to C:\ProgramData).

3. Download and install the previous version here (there's no need to uninstall the current version explicitly, just install the previous version over it).
Note: system restart may be required.

Please let us know the result. Thank you, and sorry for all these hassles.

Yes!  Downgrading to AMM v8.15.1  "corrected" the issue.

Taskbar icons now appear only on the taskbar for the appropriate display.

The downside is that I had to disable all future version updates.
So this is, at best, a short-term fix.
I will have to look for a replacement app.

David,

Thank you for the confirmation.

I hope we have found the cause so the issue will be fixed in the next update 8.15.3 of AMM. BTW, do you agree to test a custom build with the mentioned fix? I understand that you have already spent plenty of your precious time on all that "testing and checking" thing but you're still the only person who reported the subject issue so you're the only one who can check out the fix. Thank you in advance!
