I finally installed Actual Tools (4.4) on my new Vista Ultimate installation. It seesm to be working as well as my 3.x version on my old XP machine, but I have a couple cosmetic complaints.
First, I'd like to get rid of the "modify Specific Settings Title Button, and only have Actual Tools access from a the Windows Menu of a window. This is how the 3.x version worked, and was much more useful in my opinion, as it took up less title bar real estate.
Second, the Title Buttons show up too quickly. The Actual Tools Title Buttons show up well before Vista opens a window. Vista's special effects that zoom a window open when starting an app, or restoring a minimized app, slide into place on screen, but the Actual Tools buttons seem to open in outer space well before that happens. I would again prefer how 3.x works, where the Actual Tools Title buttons show up a split second after the window has fully opened.
Other than that, the new configuration interface seems nice, and the additional features are welcome.
Thanks for listening,
PRGeno
