Since the beginning of beta testing with AWM v5.5 and continuing with the v6.0, b1, I have had an issue with tray icons reordering ceasing to work. The feature will work for an entire windows session but occasionally upon rebooting, the feature will not work for an entire windows session--until the next reboot. I have tried disabling and re-enabling the feature, stopping and restarting AWM, and unloading and reloading AWM. Nothing re-enables the feature; only a reboot will correct the problem. Being an intermittent problem like this, I am at a loss to understand why it is occurring, and it may well be something specific to my PC and my setup.

Nick, please specify - is the issue true (when it occurs) for the Windows taskbar, for AWM taskbars or for both? Thanks!

I notice the issue with the Windows XP taskbar. I do not have the system tray turned on for the AWM taskbar so I am unable to say if the issue involves that taskbar as well. I will turn the system tray on for AWM taskbar and do some testing with that as well.

I have more information on this issue now. I have turned on the system tray on the AWM taskbar (on the secondary monitor). When I am able to reorder the system tray icons on the XP taskbar, I am also able to reorder the system tray icons on the AWM taskbar. When I am experiencing the issue of being unable to recorder the system tray icons on the XP taskbar, the system tray on the AWM taskbar is completely empty, displaying no icons at all. Again, this is an intermittent issue, occurring approximately one quarter of the time, and lasting for an entire Windows session (until the next reboot). A restart or reloading of AWM does not correct the issue.
If you need any additional information, please let me know.

Nick,
I'm afraid we still cannot reproduce this problem
I'd like to ask for your help.
Recently, we've released
Actual Multiple Monitors version 2.0
. We believe that the empty tray problem is fixed in this version, but we need to confirm this.
Could you please download and install AMM, and check if the problem is really fixed?
If you prefer, I can send you an internal build of AWM based on the same code as AMM 2.0.

Hi Alexander,
Thanks for your follow-up. I guess I would prefer to install the internal build of AWM since installing AMM may conflict with AWM. Could you send that to me and I would be happy to see if I experience the issue under that build?
