Hello,
already saw this few times. Sometimes secondary taskbar will display icons in taskbars that doesn't have any name (and they don't do anything).
Looks like something related to detection of windows.
To reproduce (Vista 64 bit + Office 2007):
1.) Open Excel
2.) Move it to second monitor
3.) Right click on tabs at bottom.
You should see new ghostly entry in taskbar.
To see, check following Jing video:

Hi,
I have a similar problem (Vista Ultimate 32 and office 2007)
On the primary monitor (of 3) I get two "empty" task bar entries. The taskbar entry has the icon for Outlook (there is also a "normal" Outlook taskbar entry) but no text. The empty icons are grouped next to the normal Outlook one.
Right or left clicking the icons has no effect

Gentlemen,
Thanks for the note. Currently there are some compatibility issues of the secondary taskbar feature and
Microsoft Excel/Adobe Acrobat
windows (due to non-standard window management tricks those programs use). Do you have similar issues with any other applications?
Martyn, is there any way to reproduce the issue consistently?

Alex,
Today I don't have the extra entries. It may be connected to the upgrade to TrueLaunchbar I mentioned in the other thread.
I'll let you know if the extra entries come back

Hi Alexey,
check my video above. I also experienced same behavior with IE8 (but this will be probably case also with IE7).
Behavior I noticed is related to context menus (but not just for them)...
To replicate in Internet Explorer
1.) Open new IE instance
2.) Click on address bar.
3.) Press 'Down' arrow.
You should see list of recently typed pages and strange task bar entry should appear.

Hi,
I've tried replicate Martin's error with the procedure in his post - but this does not give any extra task bar entries. I am using IE7.
I do get 4 extra entries in the task bar for Excel.

I also have the issue with Excel as martin explained. Although, you have to right click on a tab that is not currently the focus. Clicking away from anything makes the 'ghostly' tasbar items go away.
Running 32 bit XP Pro SP3 and office 07.
I also notice this with word 07, when you right click anywhere is an email your composing.
Of course only if the program is on the secondary monitor...
