In the UK, when I was a teenager, we called them pimples. Here in Australia, my children call them 'zits'. In my older years I'll just politely refer to them as blemishes.
On the summary page, is that a blemish I see? On the attached graphic I've marked what looks like a spot that shouldn't be there. It's the colour of a hypertext link, sits close to the icon, but not close enough, and is round. Also, like real blemishes, it's hard to get rid off.

we call it an icon in the tray, which appears when you minimize a window
As you can see all images at this page (quite sketchy, of course) depict a corresponding action.
P.S. Thank you for your attentiveness. It sounds funny: "Minimize to a pimple in the tray"

Hi Michael,
You have to admit that it is not clear whether or not the spot belongs to the graphic or the hypertext link.
