This is with 7.2 beta1.  Windows 7 Ultimate, x64

If I open the virtual desktop display with the alt+` key, it displays on both my monitors.  If I then hide it with alt+`, both of them disappear.

However, if I click the "x" to close the display, only the one I closed disappears.  The virtual desktop display for the one on the second monitor stays open.  Hitting alt+` again, reopens the one just closed.  Bringing me back to the same position as if I had just hit the alt+`.

Hello macman104.

In this case the show/hide switcher item, the switcher close button and the hotkey are responsible for the same action, excepting hotkey affects both switchers if they are in the same condition. If they're not, hotkey affects switcher that was activated last. So if you make open switcher active, the hotkey will hide it. This behavior was designed, do you think it is not logical?

Best regards.

Hi Bogdan,

Sorry I don't think I'm quite understanding what your post means.

Show/hide switcher item - what does this refer to
switcher close button - got it, I understand, that is the little "x" to close the switcher window
hotkey - what hotkey are we referring to, is this the hotkey for switching between virtual desktops, or the hotkey to bring up the switcher, or something else?

I'm not sure also what "if they are in the same condition" means.

Hello macman104.

Show/hide switcher item - item of the Actual Window Manager tray icon context menu.

hotkey - alt+` - toggle virtual desktop switcher

Same condition means they're both on the screen or they're both hidden.

Please let me know if I may be of any further assistance.

Best regards.

Hi Bogdan,

I think I understand now.  However, I think if the switcher appears on both monitors (as I have the clone to all monitors option checked) that closing either of the switchers with the switcher close button, should close both of them.

Unrelated, I installed AWM on my new computer (windows 8), and now the hotkey to bring up the switcher alt+`, first has a "configure" pop, that if clicked brings me to the AWM configuration page.  I can't seem to find anywhere that I've told AWM that alt+` is for configuration.

Hello macman104.

What is the "configure" pop? Could you give me a screen shot?

Best.
