VLC Crash When Stopping AWM Service

I have a VLC window in my top-right corner of the screen. It is transparent/ghosted/stay-on-top. If I stop AWM from the taskbar temporarily, the VLC window freezes and it becomes unresponsive.
Most other windows that have effects added to them will resume their normal state if AWM is temporarily stopped.

Hello macman104.
Thanks for your post.
The problem has been confirmed. We'll investigate it. It seems that the issue occurs only when VLC is playing media files.
Best regards.

Thanks Bogdan,
I just experienced the issue also when I had a media file playing, and I switched the title button style (checked the Office 2007 box) and applied the changes, VLC then froze.
Just thought another instance would help narrow down the issue.

As i can see, the problem is associated with the "stay always-on-top" option, maybe these options of VLS and of our program are kinda incompatible.
For now try to enable the "Always on top" option of VLC (Tools > Preferences > Video) and enable the same option of our program with the "Freeze" option enabled.

Hi Bogdanm,
I wanted to follow up on this problem. Basically if I enable the stay-on-top option in VLC the problem seems to be resolved. The freeze option is helpful in that then VLC doesn't actually start with the stay-on-top set unless I wanted it to be.
So the minimum requirement was just setting the stay-on-top in VLC, the freeze option is not needed.
Thanks!
