I am using Excel 2010 on my secondary monitor with multiple files open with a taskbar button showing for each one. When Excel begins to autosave, all of the Excel taskbar buttons move over to the primary monitor's taskbar during the autosave. When the autosave is complete they move back to the secondary monitor.

Hello Reuvain,

Thanks for the post.

What our product are you running (name, version)?

What OS are you running (version, 32 or 64-bit)?

Best regards.

I am using the entire suite but this post relates to the Actual Multiple Monitors component. I am running Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit. I currently have my taskbar properties set to Use Small Icons, and Taskbar Button set to Never Combine.

I was unable to reproduce the problem.

Are you running the latest beta version of Actual Multiple Monitors?

How long does Excel autosave files on your machine approximately?

Best regards.

I am using the February 1st version. With large files the autosave process can take a few (10+) seconds.

Could you send me your configuration files (Actual Multiple Monitors -> Tools -> Send to Tech Support)?

Best regards.

I have a similar problem with Excel Autosave. Every time one of my Excel windows autosaves it opens up a an additional icon called "Microsoft Excel" on the taskbar for the duration of the autosave. Stays for a few seconds then disappears again, very distracting.

Hello gentlemen.

The problem has been confirmed but in a little bit different way.

The additional "Microsoft Excel" icon appears when Excel is being loaded pretty much, e.g. when i paste a large data capacity or on other manipulations. Appearance of this icon is not associated with our program, because even when our program is shut down, the icon still appears.

And yes, sometimes all of the icons excepting the additional "Microsoft Excel" icon move over to the primary monitor's taskbar and return back as the additional icon disappears.

The reason of this behavior isn't found out. This problem seems to be associated with characteristic of Microsoft Excel and, unfortunately, for now we don't see any way to solve this problem. But we'll try to fix it anyway.

Best regards.
