Instead of appearing behind the preview in Aero, it completely disappears.
The X is visible up until the window comes into focus while all the other windows become transparent. So, in that split second delay while I'm hovering over the window in the preview pane, the X is still there, but as soon as the window pops into focus while all of the other ones are transparent in that Aero preview thing, the X disappears.
You guys can't win. XD
