AWM 5.3 B2 running on Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bit.

I have been running OK on a system with 3 monitors: monitors 1 and 2 driven from 1 graphics card (Nvidia 8800) and monitor 3 on a second graphics card (Nvidia 8500GT).

AWM is configured to show task bars on all 3 monitors and some windows are directed to monitor 3.

Then the Nvidia 8500gt card failed.  I removed it from the mother board and am awaiting a replacement.

Now, when I run AWM it starts, shows in process manager and displays an icon in the task bar system area.  It does not display the task bar on monitor 2.

If I hover the mouse over the task bar icon then the process dies, the icon disappears and the process no longer shows in process manager.

Dear Martyn,

Couldn't you to specify did you get any of error-message before AWM crashed?

Please, try to turn off Virtual Desktops and all Multi Monitors options and reproduce this situation.

Thank you!

No - I didn't get any error messages.

I can't get into AWM before it crashes to change the settings

Martyn,

Can you run the Configuration (without loading AWM), turn off the options and reboot your computer?

Tatiana,

I've just tried that but the configuration program crashes as well.

I tried to run it with process explorer running.  When I ran Configuration the entry appeared in process explorer but then crashed out within less than 1 second.

Tatiana

I installed 5.2 and it worked fine.

I then reinstalled 5.3b2 and this crashes as before.

Tatiana,

Thanks for the email.  I extracted the file to the AWM directory and ran AWM.

It started and crashed very quickly and did not create a Cd.log file.

Martyn,

Sorry for the mistake.

Please, run Configuration and file should be named Cb.log.
