I would like to use AMM to split the screen of a very large hi-res monitor instead of using the 2 monitors I presently use.

I'm running AMM 8.9 beta 2. Some the apps I use don't work with the Desktop Divider. For example, when I drag them the tile layout isn't visable.

Larry, what are the apps you have the reported problem with? What is the version and edition of your Windows system?

Office 2007
Word 2007
Excel 2007
PowerPoint 2007
Acrobat 8 Pro
ContactEase 9.35 (www.colevalley.com)
Pegasus 4.72 (www.pmail.com)

I have put these apps into Specific Window Settings but that has had no effect on the Desktop Divider or the Title  or Menu controls.

Hello Larry,

Does the problem persist in the current 8.9 version of Actual Multiple Monitors?

If yes, please send us your configuration files (Actual Multiple Monitors -> Tools -> Configuration -> Send to Tech Support) and paste a link to this thread there.

Have you been able to determine the cause of this behavior?

Hello, Larry

Could you check whether the programs you have this problem with are affected by Actual Multiple Monitors at all? According to your configuration, these windows should have Actual Multiple Monitors title buttons and additional window menu items if they are affected by AMM.

If they're not affected, then tell us, do you run these applications in the "Run as administrator" mode? Or is there anything special about how you launch these applications as compared to other applications, with which AMM works correctly?

Best regards.

None of those apps have title buttons or window menu items, all were running as an admin. I eliminated the run as admin setting and now all but Pegasus now have the title buttons and window menu items.

This means that the "Support system utilities and administrative tools" option wasn't enabled during the installation of Actual Multiple Monitors. If you want the applications launched in the "Run as administrator" mode to be processed by AMM, you need to reinstall the program and enable the mentioned option during the installation.

We'll try to reproduce the issue with Pegasus and post about the results in this topic later.
