Full message;

ActualWindowManagerCenter.exe - No Disk

There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive
\Device\Harddisk1\DR1

I was in the process of minimizing notepad at the time, NOT trying to save anything.

Regards,
Patrick Perea

Hello Patrick,

Thanks for the post.

Could you send me a screenshot of the problem?

Best regards.

I often get this problem as well. For me it occurs when I right click on an item in the Windows task bar. Before the right click menu appears I get that message, I click cancel, I get that message again, again I click cancel, then the right click menu I want finally pops up.

Hello Jared,

Thanks for the message.

What taskbar item do you have this problem with?

Best regards.

Good Morning.

If I may add to the list - I have the same problem.  No single cause I can point to, it happened when opening different programs or when detaching a USB stick.

Screen shot not possible, the message box takes the system focus completely, I have to click through six or seven instances before it disappears and I can do anything with the system again.

Running Windows 7 Ult / 64 bit.

Best regards

Addendum ... I found a way to trigger this error reliably:

I have set up my card reader's drives as folders instead of separate drive letters and added a toolbar for them to my taskbar (on my second monitor, expanded to show all drives directly).  Whenever I move the mouse over one of these shortcuts, the error message pops up directly, four times, for one drive only.

Gerhard,

Thank you for the information. Does the problem still persist with the latest beta 2?

Alex,

looks okay with 6.6 B2 - I have added the card reader folder to the taskbar again, so far no error messages.

I will keep this running and will advise in case I do get errors again.

Alex,

I spoke to soon.

Two restarts later, the problem is back.

Sorry ...

I had never had this problem before, but a couple of days started getting the same error message.  It happens every time I open Window Manager from the notification area.  The full message is "There is no disk in the drive. Please ins ert a disk into drive\Device\Harddisk3\DR3".

If I sele ct the Continue button several times eventually the error window goes away and Window Manager opens and seems to work.  Any idea what this is about?
