When I click the "Sel ect Window fr om List” button when creating a new specific setting or changing an existing setting the Configuration Module crashes. This happens only on my computer with Vista Ultimate 32-bit. On my other computer with Vista Ultimate 64-bit it works correctly.
P.S. the spaces in the first sentence above between Sel & ect and fr & om are added by the forum. I typed the text correctly without spaces. This has happened to me on this forum on several occasions already and I have been trying to find out what it is caused by (e.g. the ", capitals etc.), but so far I have not been able to find it. I am using Firefox 7.0.1 as my browser.

- I can't reproduce this. Have you sent a error report?

Hello Vasiliy,
Thanks for your reply. After reading your reply I have managed to solve the problem by completely uninstalling AWM and then reinstalling it again. Now it works. Yesterday, in order to look at the Windows remote desktop problem, I installed version 6.6. on top of 6.7 beta 1. I think that must have been the cause. In the past I have been able to install an older version over a newer one successfully, but after this experience I think it is not wise anymore.
Thanks and have a great day!

Hello Vasiliy,
I am sorry to say that the issue is back and it is not related to 6.7 beta 1, but I also have it in version 6.6. The configuration module does not really crash, but after pressing the button “Sel ect Window from List” the “Sel ect Window” window does not appear. If I then want to end the Configuration module via the Task Manager I get the error: "The system cannot end this program because it is waiting for a response fr om you.”
I have done some more experimenting and the culprit appears to be the file UIPreferences.ini in the AppData\Roaming\Actual Tools\Actual Window Manager folder. If I move that file and start AWM, the option “Select Window fr om List” does work (and that is likely what happened after I reinstalled 6.7 beta 1. I probably had not put back my settings back-up yet when I wrote that everything was working again).
Now there are 2 questions:
1. What settings will I lose if I just delete the UIPreferences.ini file? If that is not much it may be the easiest solution. In that case AWM will just build a new UIPreferences.ini file.
2. If I cannot afford to lose the settings in the UIPreferences.ini file: what specific setting in the UIPreferences.ini file causes this problem and how can I solve it?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best regards.

Hello Vasiliy,
I suspect you might want to have the UIPreferences.ini file. I have just e-mailed it to your support address.
Best regards.

Hello Pim,
You should delete the UIPreferences.ini file.

- You will not lose any settings. Current windows layout is in the the UIPreferences.ini file.
Best regards.
