I just tried the new beta and found that a lot of the problems I had in the last version are still here!
- Window grouping graphic not disappearing when a window swaps monitors
- desktop peek not working (cursor disappearing near it)
- individual explorer windows show up as the individual folder icon
More details can be found in my other topics, but what I mainly wanted to bring up is the differences between the taskbars.
I'm very pleased that dragging icons to the taskbar has been added but a major problem is that it wont launch a program which has been pinned using a shortcut. (I discovered this afterwards when I tried fixing the problem with the 3DS Max icon)
**Please note I set both my backgrounds to white when taking screenshots**
From the bottom up:
The Windows 7 taskbar,
The AWM taskbar. Notice the incorrect spacing and colour difference
The difference between the 2 taskbars
The difference between the 2 taskbars with corrections.
The spacing corrections are as follows:
2 pixels less to the left of the start button
4 pixels more either side of each icon (making an 8 pixel gap)
All items in the notification area EXCEPT THE DATE, down by 1 pixel
All items EXCEPT THE NOTIFICATION EXPAND AND THE DATE, left by 1 pixel
The notification expand and the date, left by 2 pixels
The colouration differences as far as I can tell are that the start button and tray areas should be darker and the icon area lighter. As well as this, when the taskbar is coloured it is never saturated enough.
Finally, I noticed when I expanded my taskbars to compare colours that the notification expand button stays aligned in the middle, not on the first line like in Windows 7 (though this doesn't bother me).
I hope this helps make a more accurate taskbar!
(if the developer(s) would like more pictures documenting the problems/bugs please let me know)

Lewis,
Thank you for the update! Please keep providing us with your feedback. I have tagged the thread for anyone who may be interested in this issue.
BTW, what version of AWM do you use at the moment?
