I often use basic themes without the flashyness, however, I tried using an Aero theme (
including the default Vista Aero theme
) and for some reason anything I pinned to the desktop would just disappear. As if it became 100% transparent (you could still right click and get a menu up where it should be).
I tried creating a new rule without anything but 'pin to desktop' but it had the same affect even after restarting etc.
I am unsure if this effects other versions; but after searching I couldn't seem to find any similar forum posts.

Hello,
Yes, it is an old well-known issue.
Unfortunately, we can't find a solution now. But we are working to solve the problem.
I'll let you know about results.
Best regards.
