I just installed the AWM 6.0 beta and now I have a bunch of icons showing up in the desktop switcher that are from programs in the system tray, not programs that are opened on any desktop.
The programs are Find and Run Robot, PeerBlock, Linkman, and USB Safely Remove.
This did not happen with earlier versions of AWM, only the new 6.0 beta.
EDIT: I attached a screenshot of the desktop switcher showing this problem.

Similarly,
My Windows 7 "Sidebar" applications are showing up in the Virtual Desktop switcher.
Not sure if this is a good or bad thing

Mark, Terry,
Thank you very much for early reports! I think we'll release a hotfix for
6.0 beta 1
today (sorry for making this a common practice for recent betas
) that will fix this bug and some other bugs already discovered and reported.
Please keep informing us about any issues you may encounter. Thanks!

New v6.0beta seems to be more stable as well, the title buttons seem to be more responsive to window actions (for example, AWM title buttons minimizing at the same rate as window title and menu bar).
If you release new hotfixes, can you post on the forms so the users are aware?
Thanks!

Gentlemen,
The hotfix has been uploaded and now is available for downloading. Please check it out (just re-download the
6.0 beta 1
setup and re-install it).
Thank you for your patience!

The hot fix did not fix these issues for me, in fact, the problem is now worse than before as even more system tray icons are showing up on the desktop switcher which makes the switcher unusable.

After installing the latest hotfix, I at first thought this issue was resolved, but now that the program has run for a bit, the problem has returned. I am still having icons show up in the switcher for programs that are not open on any desktop.

Mark,
Changes made in the hotfix regarding the subject issue were hasty a bit (we didn't consider some side effects). At the moment, it appears that we have found a proper solution so that the final version will work correct (we hope to release it soon).

Alex,
That is good news, indeed. I look forward to this release.
