Having a problem with the taskbar support with dual monitors.

First off, loving it when it works! Especially the extra startbutton and the reordering ability over both primary and extended taskbar - something the combo ultramon and taskbar shuffle i'm otherwise currently using cant't handle.

Problem:
Apps "move" from the secondary monitor to the primary when locking windows and resuming. Not all apps do, however:
Example apps that "move": Notepad++, Putty, JDSU Pathtrak client
Example apps that don't: Firefox, IE, MS Office

Setup:
Win XP SP2
AWM v5.5b1
Primary screen 1200x1600 (portrait mode)
Secondary 3200x1200 (using a Matrox DualHead2Go).

Compounding the problem is that windows change size and aspect ratio as well when they move, so i have to both move them back and resize them. In response to the diffrence in portrait / landscape mode? Could there be a setting for this in AWM?

Thanks

Couldn you write to us details of this situation? Please, write step by step what you do and what happened.

There are the settings for the "Move to Monitor" button.

i have a similar problem. vista64, dual screen. i run xbmc on my secondary (with awm doing the work of getting it there). when the system comes back from sleep, or the secondary monitor is turned back on after being off for a while, xbmc is shifted mostly to the primary screen with a little of it at the bottom of the secondary.
(secondary is a sharp lcd-tv routed through a denon avr-3808).
also use two different wallpapers for each of the two screens with awm once again handling to job. when the xbmc screen gets shifted, the primary`s wall paper is overlayed onto the secondary with it`s wallpaper in behind peaking out on either side.
primary 1680x1050
secondary 1920x1080

secondary is arranged to be above the primary.

if i close xbmc then restart it, it pops up just fine on the secondary screen, despite the secondary`s wallpaper being overlayed still.

farout - what do you mean by `locking windows and resuming`, logging off your user, win-l back to user sign on, lock button on start menu (vista)

what video card are you running (on-board video, single card, on-board + card) nvidia, ati, etc...

i wanna try and replicate your situation, to help them fix your problem, and hopefully mine, it`s annoying, but as you metioned, awm does what no other single program can, and then some.

Sorry for the delay in my response.

Very simple, it is when left idle. In my first message i indicated that it happens when the windows is locked, but i have since noticed it happens when the computer is left idle whether it's locked or not.

Video card is Intel 965 Express (it's a HP Pavilion laptop). It's sitting in a dock and as i mentioned in the first post i have a Matrox DualHead2Go hooked up to it to enable the use of 3 screens.

What i meant by "locking" is ctrl-alt-del -> lock computer. However as i indicated above i have now noticed this doesn't seem to matter, it's idling that does it.

Hi guys! Just to let you know, this problem is still present in beta 2.

(If someone could change the topic-header it'd be handy...)

The problem seems to be solved for the Pathtrak client, so something is different. However, Notepad++ and Putty still behave the same way.

Hoppefully this fact can be a clue as to what is going on...
