Since I installed Beta 3, I've found that Firefox doesn't minimize to the tray correctly when this is set up in Firefox's rule (it worked perfectly in beta 2 and previous versions).

If it is set to minimize to tray using the minimize button, it minimizes to the tray *but also to the taskbar*. The easiest way to work around this was set up a "minimize to tray button" for firefox. Other alt Min trigger techniques (e.g. after deactivation) work fine - it's just the minimize button that is a problem.

I'd be grateful to know whether anyone else has noticed this.

Cheers

Neil,

Thank you very much for your report. The bug is fixed, the fix will be available in forthcoming v5.0. (final release).

Michael

You're most welcome - I'm pleased that:

1. it wasn't my imagination; and
2. you could fix it.

Thanks for letting me know! I look forward to seeing v5 when it comes out.

I don't know if you're interested but I've also noticed an incompatibility with a piece of software I use to record the time that I spend on projects (www.workcentrics.com). I've emailed the developer and he is pretty sure the problem is either caused by some code he licensed from CodeJock or by AWM - but wasn't sure (the Event Manager lists AIM.exe).

If I set v5 betas to ignore this app, it's all fine - but if not, WorkCentrics crashes every time I try to change its program options.

I thought you might like to look into it in case the problem is caused by 3rd party code used in lots of apps.

Best regards

Neil

Hello Neil,

If you have a specific rule set for WorkCentrics, disable it (the Default settings should be applied). Open the program options and create an exclusion for the Options window. Does it help?

BTW please tell us the exact name of the WorkCentrics product you are currently using.

Michael hi

Thanks for your suggestion.

As far as I can tell, the actual software is the same in all versions of WorkCentrics available on the website (www.workcentrics.com). The only difference between them is the sample databases set up for them and the program options selected for each type. But in case you want to download the exact same one that I am using, select the "Pro" (single user) version for Consulting firms.

I hope this helps. I will try your suggestion as soon as I can AWM working again (the Beta has now shut down - I'm not sure whether a new beta product is about to come out or whether I should go back to 4.5... do you have any suggestions?)

Best regards

Neil

Thanks for your reply.

It's up to you to decide whether to try version 5.0 beta 4 or roll down to 4.5. Nevertheless I recommend you to give beta a try in order to test its new features.
