When the client computer has different screen resolution than the host computer, automatically setting the screen resolution of the host based on the screen resolution of the client would add value to the the apps.

Good day Larry,

I think that this is impossible because client computer may have lesser resolution than the host computer (e.g:client resolution:800x600, host resolution: 1650x1280). Changing resolution on client's machine will make the use of computer very uncomfortable.
Also I need to mention that fact that our products don't have internet connection with other machines' products

To be clear, I'm suggesting automatically resetting the resolution on the host (not the client). It can be done now manually and the result is very comfortable to view. Though doing it manually is a pain if one has to do it often (I do it daily).

Hello Larry,

Do you mean changing resolution when the hotkey is pressed or by some specific shedule? Please be a bit more detailed.

I prefer to have the resolution changed automatically. But a hotkey would be second best. In either case, the app would match the resolutions of the host computer to the client.

But still, the only thing that we can make is that the app's resolution will be changed semi-automatically (e.g. you have 800x600 host resolution then you will need to tell our program which resolution to make and it will change it automatically by a schedule).

I've made the suggestion previously to do something like UltraMon does.

http://www.realtimesoft.com/ultramon/tour/shortcuts.asp

If AWM integrated with the system/shortcut in this way, you could indirectly configure how an application is launched, i.e. screen resolutions, etc.

What I have typically done in the past is installed UltraMon to handle this alone and disabled everything else, so that UltraMon set screen resolution, properties, etc, while AWM then managed how the window/application interacts with the system.  The whole point being, I'd like to see this integrated with AWM so I don't have to use 2 separate programs.

Hello Chris,

"What I have typically done in the past is installed UltraMon to handle this alone and disabled everything else, so that UltraMon set screen resolution, properties, etc, while AWM then managed how the window/application interacts with the system." But AWM does same through the Specific Rules, isn't it? It just doesnt have the shortcuts menu.

Anyway, this feature seems cool. We will consider about it
