Having the ability to prevent a window from closing/requiring password re-entry/etc. would be beneficial to me.

You obviously have some sort of input capturing intercept for the hotkeys function.  Whether or not that would be usable to generate simulated key presses, and apply those to a specific window, I couldn't say.

A variety of options would be necessary to simulate activity for a specific window.  For instance you could elect to simulate pressing of "shift" or "scroll lock", or maybe move the mouse.  I would still want the screen saver to activate if I'm away from my desk, however.

Just a thought.  Yes, I'm pretty sure it sounds a lot easier than it actually is.

Have you tried to use the Ignore deactivation feature for these apps?

Could you check whether it suit your request?
