I've been using AWM for ages but have just started playing around with the desktop divider.

I usually maximize a window by double clicking on it's titlebar, then double clicking again on the titlebar to bring it back to its previous position and size.

Would it be possible to add the functionality which:

- maximizes the window within the desktop divider area the window is placed in
- restores the window position and size when double clicking again on its titlebar
- all this could also be done by title buttons or preferably shortcut keys

I saw that the "put into..." feature already maximizes the window but it's not possible easily restore the position/size when the window is un-maximized again

Hi again,

So,the only issue is that if you "put into devider tile" and do a reverse action you ,the window doesnt save it's position & size, right?

Any questions?Mail to support@actualtools.com!

Hi,

the issues are that

- I need 3 clicks to use the "put into..." function (click on titlebar+click on "put into"+click on divider area) instead of only one click. A hotkey and/or button and/or Mouse action to maximize the window into the current area would be handy in that respect
- indeed, as you say there's no reverse action which sets back the window in the previous state. SO it would be nice to have that feature, too  :-)

Hello Max,

There is the "Maximize to Desktop Divider's tile" mouse action (Actual Window Manager -> Mouse -> Actions -> Maximize to Desktop Divider's tile).
It does exactly what you described.
