Please add the following file type to the screensaver *.mp4 and *.ogv. I collect all of the BING background images for the screensaver. Some of these are *.mp4 and *.ogv. This would be a very good improvement.

Hello S Williams,
mp4 and ogv are video formats.
Screensavers don't play a video.
Could you provide me an example of mp4 or ogv BING background images?

Go to
www.bing.com
. This page has a new background each day. Yesterday's background was Eurasian lynx. AT the bottom right of the screen are controls to view previous day's background. I tried to attach one of these files but couldn't do it here

Interesting, these video background are not available for my country. I was able to get the url using TOR (AdvOR).

Would be fantastic if AWM had support similar to
Dreamscene
for desktop animated background. Just wondering, I have no intention to use it :P.

Thanks for the response. Bing provides one of the best sources of images. It’s engine uses a number of techniques to render a “picture” or "video". It doesn’t matter what type as the logic determines it by the file extension. Since Windows (7/8) now has more media capabilities “built-in", it's only right to use/leverage them. This is even more so since most graphic boards offload the work. Can you imagine a multi-monitor setup with different video backgrounds on each?. I think “animated” is so 1990.
I hope you consider this feature since I would consider your capability original work and NOT something anyone else has or will offer….
