If I enable the Virtual Desktop switcher window and then minimize it, I can not make it restore to the original size. The restore label is grayed out. If I maximize it to full screen, then I can not size it and the virtual desktop boxes are all in the top left.

This is on Vista. I will try this at work on my PC that is running XP and post the results.

Thanks:

I tried the same thing on my work PC which is running XP and had the same problem. Just to go over what happens again, at least at work.

Right click on the AWM icon and select Show Switcher. This displays the Virtual Desktop Switcher window. There is only the X (close) button on the title bar, the minimize and restore buttons are not there, nor is any of the additional AWM buttons. So I right click on the title bar and get the menu (which does not contain any of the AWM selections either) and select minimize. The window then rolls up and moves to the bottom left of the screen above the task bar. If I right click on the title bar and get the menu the restore option is dulled and can not be selected. If I select maximize, the widow expands to the whole screen with the virtual desktop boxes in the upper left. If I right click on the title bar I can select minimize and it goes back down to the lower left of the screen. If I select size, the cursor becomes a star, but I can not change the size of the window in any way. The Virtual Desktops Switcher window does not appear to have an borders on it.

If I click on the X and close the window and then select Show Switcher again, the widow is shown in the same size as when it was closed, minimized or maximized.

I am using AWM 5.4 on both PCs.

Thank you, Jack!

The problem is confirmed. We'll fix it.

P.S. To solve the problem try to reload AWM.

I am not sure I understand your reply. You first say the problem is confirmed, but then say to solve the problem reload AWM.

Is there a bug that code needs to be changed to fix or what?

When you say reload are you talking about just stopping AWM and staring it again?

Or are you talking about installing the software again?

Sorry for misunderstanding.

When I wrote:

The problem is confirmed.

I meant that the VD Switcher window should not be able to minimize. We'll remove this deflect on our next release.

I meant that you can unload then load AWM (Configuration -> Actions -> Unload Actual Window Manager/Load Actual Window Manager)and the VD Switcher window is restore the size.
