Hello again Alexey
. I'm sure you hoped you wouldn't be hearing from me so soon...
I have a similar symptom again I'm afraid, but I don't think it's exactly the same as before—I haven't used right-click in a console window to trigger this I don't think. I just noticed that the ActualWindowManagerCenter.exe (not the ~64.exe or ~ShellCenter64.exe) process is running at 100% core again. This time, the system tray menu refuses to open (which it would with the runaway before). The tooltip for version number pops up, and the window title buttons appear to be still working, but things like hotkeys aren't (I have a mouse button click configured to move windows between monitors—doing it from the window context menu works OK). No mention in Reliability Monitor.
I will kill & restart AWM, but let me know if there's anything else I can keep a look out for.
Many thanks,
David

Hmm. So killing the process and restarting AWM it immediately jumped to 100% core on that process. Restarting the whole PC and things are back to normal. I've reopened all apps to the point where I was before, so fingers crossed just a momentary glitch. Will update here if it recurs.

I have a similar problem (23%), but normally is 0.15% (after restart Windows 7). After restart AWM is back 23%.

Hi David,
You're right - I hoped all the CPU consuming issues have been resolved in 8.14.4.
According to your description, there's some kind of lock-up in AWMCenter.exe. If you manage to reproduce the issue again then please create a dump of the Center process and send it to me.
