I have number of applications that run under CMD and I like to keep them running minimized on the tray. I just do not seem to be able to direct the Actual Window Minimizer to accept CMD.EXE to do anything with it using Rules. I used to have another Tray minimizer that worked just fine on any application except it did not have the flexibility of this program.

Dear Pavel,

Thanks you very much for you interest to our programs.

Can you tell me what Windows operating system do you use?

Due to specific of Windows 2000/XP, we couldn't apply new features to CMD windows here.

Sincerely,

I do have windowsXP Pro so I guess I am out of luck. Hope you can find a workaround.
Also I have another problem with other type. It is a IEFrame type. This one is OK when it comes to minimizing it but what I can not make it to do is using the Window Rules to minimize it to the tray. I wish I could let you see this but I probably can not unless you are a paid subscriber to company called Ameritrade. It is a frame that opens up to allow me to see Stock market tickers and this frame controls additional IEFrames. This frame uses JAVA.

Can I ask you to download our Actual Window Manager from http://www.ActualTools.com/files/aimsetup.exe

After installation, please try to click on Minimize to Tray button and tell me what happened with IEFrame window?
It would be great if you can send me screenshots before and after.

Sincerely,

Minimizing to tray for CMD windows is finally available in Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista since the version 5.0 of Actual Tools: now all CMD-based applications can be minimized in any way either automatically (at startup, after deactivation etc.) or manually (via title button, via window menu command etc.).
