Hi all,
Using WIN8.1 and AWM 8.8, I often, not always, have a maximized taskbar after I lock the screen (WIN-L) and come back later. I press ESC twice to get the logon screen and enter my credentials. When Windows comes back, the taskbar on all 3 monitors have been maximized on all screens.
The screensaver (the AWM one) is pointing to a local drive/folder and set to slideshow; change every 10 seconds with 'on resume, display welcome screen' checked. The interval is 15 minutes (set by our IT department).
Desktop backgrounds are set to the same drive/folder with a one minute change interval.
I didn't find exact steps to reproduce, it seems to happen randomly. Unfortunately, I cannot undo the lock-screen (company policy).
Besides being annoying as xxxx, it doesn't seem to have any other effects. Nothing else 'stopped' working.
Any clues/ideas on how to fix/troubleshoot this?
Thanks,
Ferry

Hello, Ferry
Could you clarify what you mean by "taskbar on all 3 monitors have been maximized on all screens". Screenshots before this happens and after will be helpful.
What is your taskbars arrangement? What taskbars (AWM or system taskbars) on what monitors do you have?
Does the AWM screensaver usually start when you lock the computer? Does it infuence on the appearing of the problem?
Best regards.

Hi bogdan,
Thanks for your quick reply.
I have the taskbar replaced by the AWM one. The taskbar is set to use the multi-monitor taskbar, individual mode, replacing the default system task bar.
When I say 'maximized', I mean that the taskbar is set to the maximum height, so from bottom of the screen to the middle of the screen. Basically the same as dragging the top border up until you can't go any further up.
I am not sure if the screensave influences this problem. I have tried without the screensaver but since this is not happening every time, I cannot say that it is related. Yet. maybe after a few days without screensave I know more.
I need to do a quick find on how to embed pictures here so I can show what I mean. In the meantime, I hope this gives some more information.

Ferry,
Could you send us your configuration files using the Send to Tech Support tools (Confuguration module > Tools > Configuration > Send to Tech Support). Please add a link to this topic to the email.
Do you have any third-party programs toolbars on your taskbars or do you have any third-party system enhancement software installed?
Could you send us a screenshot of your processes list (Task manager > Details tab) taken in the session when the problem appears?
