Hi

I save a backup of my settings in Actual Windows Manager and when users log in I use the restore command to apply settings to all users.

This is working OK but it doesn't save the Logon Screen settings. I have an image for my secondary monitor and that option is not enabled on restore.

I'm running version 8.6.2 on a Windows 7 PC.

Can you assist?

Regards
Stephen

Hello, Stephen.

Unfortunately, for now Configuration Backup doesn't include the Logon Settings. We'll try to improve this. But it's not a problem, if you use the Configuration Backup for the Users on the same computer, because this feature changes background picture on the main display of Logon Screen for all users.

Do you use the restore feature on other computers? What picture do you use then?

Stephen,

The reported issue has been fixed in the just released Actual Window Manager 8.7 beta 2, the fix will be available in the final version 8.7.

Hi @all,

on a quick note regarding restoring of settings:

If Windows does not boot anymore, is it possible to get the settings from some place on the hard drive by booting a parallel system?

Hello, David

Yes, the configuration files can be found here:
C:\Users\<name of your user account>\AppData\Roaming\Actual Tools\Actual Window Manager

You need to copy these files to the corresponding directory in the new system.

Best regards.
