I recently upgraded to AWM 4.5 and everything started out fine for a few days. One day, my entire screen flashed green, and only slowly started repainting the windows. Sometimes the screen will not repaint until I can manage to click on a window's title bar (the bar repaints), then drag the window across my entire desktop.
This behavior has been pretty steady since then (about 1-4 times per day). I used MSCONFIG to disable AWM from starting and the problem has gone away.
I should point out I'm using the Windows Aero theme with a green tint, for the Window Appearance, so that's likely where the green is coming from. Other than AWM, it's a fairly out-of-the-box system (Vista, Office, IE, etc).
I REALLY like AWM, but can't live with this bug... Please help.

I also am having a problem with Vista and AWM 4.5. When closing Outlook 2007 and Adobe Acrobat Standard, I get a green vertical stripe on the left hand side of my screen. if I turn off and disable AWM 4.5, this problem goes away. How can this be fixed?

Hello Scott,
Do you also use the Windows Aero theme with a green tint?

Hello gentlemen,
Could you please:
1) Let us know what happens if you just choose another color of this tint?
2) Please activate
Windows Monitoring Log
and send us all the information about the theme.
We would also like to know the exact steps one should perform to get green screen.
Thank you in advance.

I am sending you my logs via your support form.
FYI I no longer believe the theme has anything to do with it. I changed to a different theme/color scheme and the screen continues to fill bright green.
Note that this seems to be the same issue as that reported at
