 I'm hoping someone can help me with this issue. I'm trying to have AWM remove windows border and title bar from all windows and popups generated in a specific application. I have no default settings nor do I have any exclusions right now. My one specific setting is for that application in which I tell it at start-up to remove the necessary windows border features. It's not looking for the caption or class, just anything running in that application.

What I've discovered is some windows will work 100% of the time, but things like new popups it cannot take control over.

Does anyone know what characteristics can be found in programs that AWM struggles to control or coding languages? Does it have issues with windows that load in certain order or apply additional naming or skins to it?

I'm running the newest version, with no additional software installed to cause a conflict. Just a pure Windows install, this proprietary third party software and AWM.

Thanks for any help I can get, this is the final hurdle in deciding to move forward with AWM.

Thanks for the post.

Could you specify the application (name, version) you are experiencing the issue with and how to open the window (popup) of the application AWM's Window Settings can't be applied to?

Could you also send us your configuration files (Actual Window Manager -> Tools -> Configuration -> Send to Tech Support)?

 I've narrowed down the conflict. We have nvidia 440 graphics cards on our systems and AWM only works with the NVIEW software is both installed and enabled. If the nview software is installed and disabled it does not work. Anybody run into this issue and have a fix? We'd prefer to not depend on another software for AWM to work properly.

 Jay,

Does nVidia nView Desktop Manager cause AWM to not have control over your WPF application or to incorrectly apply Window Settings (e.g. Default Settings will be applied to the WPF application instead of Specific Settings)? Do AWM’s hotkeys or mouse actions work correctly with the WPF application with nVidia nView Desktop Manager disabled?

Could you enable nVidia nView Desktop Manager, load Actual Window Manager, open and enable the AWM’s logging feature (AWM’s tray icon context menu -> Show log window), right click on a column name in the log window and enable all items (like Styles and Extended Styles), open the WPF window you are experiencing the problem with and make a screenshot of the log window? Then please repeat these steps with nVidia nView Desktop Manager disabled and provide us both screenshots.
