Hi,

My rig:

Win8.1 OS
2 Nvidia cards

780 card connected to a 24"@ 1920x1200 + a 5"@ 1024*768 + a 90"@1920*1080 (Benq 1080ST)
640 card  connected to a MATROX TH2GO with 3 monitors 18"@1024*768 + a 17"@1024'786

The MATROX TH2GO is seen as 1 monitor by OS

I use this setup for my flightsim cockpit. The Cockpit BIG is the default for my cockpit,

I have made up 3 desktops config ( see image)

Now my problem

The NVIDIA Control Panel multimonitor setup doesn' sync with AWM. Sometime OK, sometime NOK.
The resolution of the MATROX is not shown in the desktop configuration ( see image)

What I relly want is

Start PC and with Desktop ACER24 active ( my daily default situation)
For flightsimming, Hotkey to Desktop BIG and start my FSX(flightsim) ( or maybe better just start FSX and AWM switch to Desktop BIG

The scenario above, I can't get to work

What should I do ?

Any ideas?

rgs,
roarkr

Thank you for your message, Roar!

Have you tried Desktop Profiles?

Best regards.

Hi,

As you could see in the attached image above I am using the Desktop Profiles and that is my issue!

Setting up the profiles is OK, but as sais it is not sync'd with the NVIDIA DESKTOP PNEL config.

Lets day I use my Profile ACER24, only 1 monitor.

In NVIDIA still all monitors are active.

The configuration in NVIDIA Desktop Panel doen't follow the Desktop profile choosed and vice versa

rgs,
Roar

Thank you for your reply, Roar.

Sorry I didn't notice the screenshot at first!

Why is syncing with Nvidia Desktop Panel important?

Apart from the syncing issue do Desktop Profiles get switched correctly?

Best regards!

Hi,
If it had been switching OK, I wouldn't asked about it.

It IS NOT switching OK.

The NVIDIA DESKTOP PANEL is in control. To me it looks like NVIDIA is overriding the AWM Desktop profiles.

Should all monitors be set to active in NVIDIA from the start in order for AWM to work OK, or will AWM handle the activation and deactivation of monitors
as defined in the Desktop profiles?

rgs,
Roar

Hi,

Here is an image showing the NVIDIA and AWM status. This is after I started
with only Monitor 1 ( ACER24) active in NVIDIA and activating the Cockpit Small Desktop profile.

As can be seen in the image , the other monitors are not active in NVIDIA even if Cockpit Smal profile is active in AWM

Thank you for your reply, Roar.

1) Am I correct in understanding that when you press a hotkey to activate any of your Desktop Profiles - nothing happens, but you still can activate/deactivate monitors is from Nvidia Panel?

2) Is it possible to activate/deactivate monitors via Control Panel -> Display -> Adjust Resolution?

3) Are you able to somehow turn off the Nvidia Panel?

Best regards.
