Hi all.
First off, great, easy to use software, I can't figure out DisplayFusion, where AMM does what I want straight of the box. Or it appears to.
If I set up a configuration on my primary 3 monitors (I have 7 monitors in total, but I don't want to confuse everyone yet), so that it's like this:
Monitor 3: 1080*1920
Monitor 2: 1920*1080
Monitor 1: 1080*1920
So my two outer monitors are in portrait, my centre in landscape.
When I rotate the outer 2 to landscape and enable Nvidia Surround, it simulates ONE monitor. If I then disable surround and attempt to reload my original profile, it doesn't detect any monitors?
Is there a way to retain information on profiles including resolution, location and wallpapers for when a monitor is seemingly disconnect and reconnected?
Thank you.
Josh

Josh,
What is your definition of "profile"? I ask as I'm not aware of a profile in AWM. I have an Nvidia card and I'm not sure of a profile there (but I've never used Nvidia Surround). Is this when you switch from Nvidia Surround making ONE monitor to switching back to three distinct monitors in a desktop mode?
Sincerely,
Lars

Yes. If you use Nvidia surround and then switch back to three independent displays, it screws up your wallpaper, monitor locations, refresh rates and orientations. So I have to go into Windows settings and rearrange my monitors, EVERY time I use surround (which is about twice a day)'
I would like to use the profiles in AMM I have set up to restore my monitors to their desired setup, but once I switch to surround, the profiles empty themselves and don't list any monitors.
Thank you

Josh,
So you want AWM > Multiple Monitors > Desktop Profiles to correctly manage this so you can quickly get your environment back under each. Somehow AWM is losing the Desktop Profile you've previously defined once switching to ONE Surround.
Sincerely,
Lars

Gentlemen,
thank you for your posts!
First of all, Josh, please send us your configuration files (Actual Multiple Monitors -> Tools -> Configuration -> Send to Tech Support) with a reference to this thread.
Then please check if your monitors order remains unchanged after you switch Surround on and off. To do that, go to Actual Multiple Monitors -> Multiple Monitors -> Monitors Layout and Settings and press the
Identify
button. Do that before you switch to Surround and after you switch back from Surround, compare the result and share the result in this thread.
Best regards!
