Minor issue that I've narrowed down to AWM --
While viewing certain program windows, if I press the window-key on my keyboard to open up the start menu (Windows 7 x64, AWM 8.0.3), the program window I was viewing closes/minimizes/disappears. This doesn't happen with every program window, however -- only some -- and seemingly random selections.
For example, if I'm viewing Windows Task Manager and I press the window-key, the Task Manager window instantly disappears, and then a second later, the Start Menu appears. Additionally, as soon as the Task Manager window disappears, its icon appears in the taskbar tray like it was minimized... but its icon quickly vanishes from the as soon as the Start Menu appears.
(And then less of an issue, the actual Start button will also sometimes disappear when this happens, even though the actual Start Menu still pops up. The button will appear again if I press the window-key a couple more times. This seems to only happen when my taskbar is set to "auto-hide")
So far, it happens with Windows Task Manager, and Windows Firewall Contrl (wfc.exe -- a third party firewall). It happens with another program window, but I can't remember which program it was off the top of my head, and I can't seem to find it again through testing.
I thought that this may be in lieu of some specific window-settings or window-exclusions in AWM, however, it happens repeatedly with a program window that doesn't have any settings or exclusions set -- Windows Firewall Control (wfc.exe). Additionally, even when I disable the "Specific Settings" for Windows Task Manager and apply, this behavior still happens.
Additionally, the behavior no longer happens if I stop or exit AWM altogether.
EDIT: I found the other program this happens with -- the AWM configuration panel, itself. While viewing the AWM config panel, if I press the window-key, the AWM config panel window disappears altogether.
Further, through my testing, I've found that the CTRL-ESC shortcut no longer opens the Start Menu. I don't mind this, as I only ever use the windows-key, but perhaps that may be part of the conflict. When I press CTRL-ESC, the Start button flashes like it's opening the Start Menu, but no menu appears. If I hold or rapidly keep pressing the CTRL-ESC shortcut, I can see quick flashes of the actual Start Menu, but it never remains on the screen.
EDIT2: It also happens with "Everything" (Search) windows (Everything.exe). If I press window-key while an Everything search window is in focus, the window will get closed/disappear.

Hello Steve
I was unable to reproduce the issue with Windows Task Manager and AWM configuration panel.
Are you able to reproduce it each time you press the Win key to bring the Start menu? Or does it happens after some times you press it?
Do you have the Replace the primary taskbar feature enabled (Configuration window > Multiple Monitors > Taskbar > Replace the primary taskbar)? If you don't, then does the issue depend on what taskbar you bring the Start menu from - the system one or AWM one?
Could you send us your configuration files using the Send to Tech Support?
Best regards
