Hello,

I currently own a copy of Actual Title Button that I really appreciate and since I now have two monitors I wanted to purchase the full suite to manage my monitors.

What I would want to do is being able to activate either one monitor or the other (I won't use them both at the same time, one is on my desk and the other a few meters away on my piano. I installed the trial version of Actual Multiple Monitors to try and achieve that but apparently both monitor are always active. I tried to uncheck the Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor checkbox but it didn't do what I was expecting and the second monitor remained active. Did I do something wrong or disabling a monitor isn't currently supported ?

Thank you in advance :)

Jean-Luc

Hello Jean-Luc

You need to create two profiles with the corresponding monitor disabled in both and then activate one of these profiles. Have you activated the profiles?

Best regards.

Hello Bogdan,

First, thank you for your answer.
I did create two profile but when I switch from one to the other, the monitor that should be disabled come back online after a second or two and show a mirror image of the active monitor. Maybe I did something wrong :)

Best regards,

Jean-Luc

Hello Jean-Luc

Is the "Clone this monitor to" option disabled in the profile for the active monitor?

Best regards.

Hello Bogdan,

First, sorry for the late answer :)

The monitor that should be active is set that way :

Use the device as the primary monitor checked (greyed out)
Extend my Windows desktop on this monitor checked (greyed out)
Clone this monitor to unchecked

The monitor that should be inactive is set that way :

Use the device as the primary monitor unchecked (greyed out)
Extend my Windows desktop on this monitor unchecked
Clone this monitor to unchecked (greyed out)

When I use this profile, monitor 2 (piano) indeed become the main monitor but monitor 1 (desktop) isn't turned off as I would hope :)

Thanks again for your help :)

Jean-Luc

NB: if I invert the values, the desktop monitor is active but the piano monitor is indeed disabled so maybe it has to do with the graphic card (both monitor are connected to a single nvidia GTX280)
