I have an issue where on a dual monitor the Monitor 1 and Monitor 2 options on the right do not work when trying to set alignment.  Doesn't matter what monitor is selected, the window is always placed relative to monitor 2.  I can easily fix that by simply going to the left offset and setting it to 0, but I shouldn't have to do that.  I'm currently running 7.5.1 and this problem has been around about 2 updates.

Hello Joe

Does it happen with all applications?

Does it depend on what monitor you bring the quick settings window from?

When you set the left offset to 0 does the alignment begin to work properly (independently on the Monitor 1 or the Monitor 2 is selected)?

Could you send us your configuration files using the Send to Tech Support tool?

Best regards.

Code
OS Name: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional  (x64)

OS Version: 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601 Multiprocessor Free, station (x64)

Actual Tools Program Name: Actual Window Manager

Actual Tools Program Version: 7.5.1

Conflicting Program Name:

Conflicting Program Version:

Actions Required to Reproduce the Problem:

I was able to reproduce the problem with multiple windows, I've had the window on one screen and opened the quick settings on the other monitor, and the same monitor to see if the locations of the windows mattered.

I came to the conclusion that the monitor selector doesn't work, the top, left, right and bottom options don't work (so just the corner alignments work) and the window is aligned only relative to where the window is currently.  If the window is on the left it will only align on the left monitor, if I manually change the coordinates so it's on the right then it will only align on the right monitor.  I've also had cases where I can't open the quick settings window.  I can't reproduce the problem but it occurs when I'm playing league of legends in borderless windowed mode,  I try to open quick settings to align the window to the upper left of the screen and occasionally it won't open.  I think this might have to do with other software I have on my PC, I think my PC disables the Windows key when the program in use captures the mouse.

Here's the Config files https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1252584/Configuration%20Files.zip I was getting an error message when trying to attach it.

EDIT: NVM The top, left, right and bottom alignments work, just not how I thought they would.  I expected those to center the window relative to the top, bottom, left, or right (just like how it is on the icon)

Are you talking about the the problem where you can't open Quick Setting or about all the problems with Quick Settings?

Does the Align problem depend on what window you bring the Quick Settings for? If yes, then what applications have you noticed the problem with?

Can you always reproduce the Align problem?

Best regards.

Could you also check whether the Move to Monitor function works (Title button or the corresponding hotkey)?

The align problems are with all programs.  The league of legends issue is that sometimes Quick settings won't open.

I just tried a lot of the keyboard shortcuts and had trouble getting them to work.. not sure why.

I tried adding the title buttons.. I couldn't get title buttons to show up on any windows unless I added it under Specific Settings and the program wasn't in exclusions.

The title button 'Move to monitor" will swap the window from monitor to monitor like it should. And the Align window to top left works but not correctly (at least I think).  It's set to 0 pixels left and top but it's acting as if it's set to 0% top and left of current desktop.

Hello Joe

What exactly shortcuts have you tried? Are they Actual Window Manager shortcuts and they're enabled (Configuration > Shortcuts)?

Are you sure that particular specific settings are applied to the corresponding program? You can easily check it in the window system menu > Actual Window Manager >Modify applied settings. Have you tried to add the buttons in the default settings?

Could you temporarily replace the configuration files (all contents of the %appdata%\Actual Tools\Actual Window Manager folder) to other folder as a backup and check it with the "clear" configuration?

Best regards.

Update: the problem has been confirmed. The trigger somewhere in your configuration, I'll try to track it down.

Why are all the specific the settings disabled (unchecked)? Try to enable at least the Default Settings, you'll be surprised.

Ah ok yeah that did fix the shortcuts problem.  I disabled it because the title buttons don't work well with programs like chrome when the whole menu bar is full of tabs.

I do still have the align to monitor 1 or monitor 2 problem though. Win + / works but I'd like to be able to access it from the Win+q menu
