Hi, new user of AMM here. Right from the beginning I'm getting the second monitor's taskbar looking like this whenever I pin or run something there. AMM also corrupted some of my other icons, but a quick fix of IconCache.db fixed that problem. This one remains for some reason. I've tried it on all three modes, and reinstalled a half dozen times, deleting the AMM folders beforehand too. Any help?

Hello Will.

What version of AMM are you running?

What version of Windows 7 are you running - 32 or 64-bit?

Does disabling of nvidia apps solve the problem?

What exactly other icons was corrupted?

Best regards.

I'm running the latest AMM 4.3 on Win 7 x64. What do you mean by disabling nvidia apps? The only one I have there is the nvidia settings tray icon. The other icons I've tried are Explorer, Mozilla Thunderbird, Notepad, Media Player Classic, VLC, Freecell, and Kindle. All of them appear corrupted.

This is probably related. I'm also getting an issue where AMM crashes when I right click any of the Actual Taskbar icons, but not any of the tray icons, the start orb, or the show desktop button. No issues with the real taskbar either.

Hello WiiWii.

You say that AMM crashes on the taskbar icon right click, but how did you pinned icons before, with dragging the icon from the desktop to AMM taskbar?

Could you make a backup of your configuration (Tools > Configuration > Backup) when there are some pinned icons on the AMM taskbar and then send it to us manually (support@actualtools.com)?

Could you try different Windows themes (Aero, Aero Basic, Classic) and check whether the problem depends on theme.

Best regards.

I'm glad to inform you that the subject issue - corrupted taskbar icons - was fixed. You will able to see the fix in the next beta version which will be released soon.

Best regards.

Are blank icons related to this or a separate issue?

I have taken a screenshot of my issue - the blank icon next to iTunes should be Outlook.

Here is another strange behavior - icons are not "stacking". Also notice that the Outlook icon is back.

^I get the same issue as Scott (blank icons). And if I try to open a program that's been pinned (that has a blank icon), it won't open.

However, if I right click the blank icon, it'll show a recent list of files opened with this program; I'm then able to click one of those files, and it opens up the program.

Additionally, the wrong icons are showing up for programs. There's one program's icon in particular (Starcraft 2) that happens to show up instead for various different programs, like program installers, for example.

(AWM 7.3, Win7 x64, individual monitor taskbars across 3 monitors, and AWM taskbar replacing Windows taskbar)

Win7/Win8.1 Pro (x64)
AWM 8.3b2
