AMM 4.3, Windows 8 Pro 64 bit (fully upd ated). 3 x 24 inch monitors.
Also running:
Display Fusion (no taskbar)
Classic shell 3.62
Dexpot 1.64
No-IP DUC 3.0.4
Eraser 6.0.10
Catayst Control Centre 2012.0928.1532.26058
Cloc X 1.5b
Realtek Audio HD Manager driver R2.70
Teamviewer 8.0.16284 beta

I have created a Quick Launch Toolbar, one for each monitor (Quick Launch, Quick Launch 2, Quick Launch 3) with no show text or show title. The taskbar is configured to use AMM taskbar, Mirrored and replace primary taskbar. The taskbar is not locked. The taskbars are set to autohide.

When first se t up Quick Launches work and display fine. On reboot, the space for the QL toolbars are present but no icons or drag handles are displayed. Moving the mouse several times over where the icons should be does redraw the icons but not the drag handles (you have to do this for each taskbar). Removing the QL toolbar and se tting it up again does se t the QL toolbars up again correctly with the handles (separately for each toolbar again).

Small issues:
The hover function for the Classic Shell start button seems to have stopped working since AMM 4.3.
Clicking the Classic Shell start button on a non primary taskbar only displays the menu only on the primary monitor.
Occasionally the 2nd and 3rd monitors taskbars refuse to unhide. Going to Multiple Monitors/Taskbar/Unhide taskbars does restore them. I haven't found out what causes it to do it yet.

I am a computer engineer with over 30 years experience. I hope I have supplied you with enough information to help with the fault. I do not need a reply as I am sure I will cope until the next release.

Many thanks in advance
Terry

Hello Terry.

1st issue - I was unable to reproduce it.

Please try to reproduce it with Display Fusion, Dexpot and Cloc X disabled. If the problem still occurs, then send us the configuration files using the Send to Tech Support tool.

Other issues:

What is the hover function?

I was unable to reproduce the problem with Classic Shell start menu appearing on the primary only, try the same as for the first issue.

Do you mean the taskbars are hidden with autohide and then you can't bring them back? Does the problem occur with autohide disabled?

Best regards.

With Display Fusion, Dexpot and Cloc X disabled, the fault is still present.
Removing the autohide from each taskbar made the quick launches appear with icons and handles. So it appears the autohide function is causing the fault.

The hover function in ClassicShell (3.62) enables you to just hover over the classic shell Start button/orb (not the metro start) and the start menu will open (no left click required). This function can be found in the setting for classic start menu, under advanced setting on the controls tab, near the bottom: Hover opens: (classic start menu).

The hover function disappears when you replace the primary taskbar with the AMM one.
Using the primary taskbar in mirror mode the hover function still works on the primary display (not on 2nd & 3rd displays though).
Clicking the windows orb/start button on the 2nd and 3rd displays still only displays the classicshell menu on the primary display.
(I can live with that, but it would be nicer if it would display the classic start menu on the displayed clicked).

I usually have autohide on all monitors.
You "Do you mean the taskbars are hidden with autohide and then you can't bring them back? Does the problem occur with autohide disabled?"
Yes. No.
Me "The taskbar is configured to use AMM taskbar, Mirrored and replace primary taskbar. The taskbar is not locked. The taskbars are set to autohide."
Me "Occasionally the 2nd and 3rd monitors taskbars refuse to unhide. Going to Multiple Monitors/Taskbar/Unhide taskbars does restore them."
I haven't had the problem with autohide disabled, but I don't usually use the taskbars unhidden. I haven't used it that way for long enough to find out.

Have also noticed that Replacing the Primary taskbar with the AMM taskbar makes the taskbar appear much slower from autohide.

Have now configured AMM taskbar as follows:
Mirrored, Primary taskbar not replaced, Primary taskbar set to autohide. AMM taskbar on monitor 2 & 3 not set for autohide.
Quicklaunches behave. I will enable Display Fusion, Dexpot and Cloc X and see If it works OK in this state for the next few days.
It only seems to misbehave with AMMs autohide.

No point in sending the config files yet as it is at present setup differently. I assume you would want the config files from the fault state setup.

Hello Terry.

About the issues with ClassicShell. I advise you to wait until the next beta of AMM will be released, it will contain its own integrated ClassicShell Start Menu.

About the general issue - i'm unable to reproduce it, seems like bad interaction of AMM taskbars autohide feature and some of your other software. You can disable all programs except AMM and check whether the problem still persists.

Best regards.
