I'm playing Sleeping Dogs while running the trial version of Actual Window Manager (great software by the way) on Windows 7 x64. Thing is, it's the first game that has given me troubles with AWM, and it refuses to go full-screen, unless I go to Tools > Stop Actual Window Manager. Whenever it tries to go full-screen, it snaps right back to windowed. When AWM is stopped however, the game stays full-screen just fine.

Any ideas? I tried adding Sleeping Dogs' executable to the Window Settings exceptions, didn't help.

Hello Lefteris.

I was unable to reproduce the issue.

Could you send us your configuration files using the "Send to Tech Support" tool?

Which way do you try to make the game go full-screen (alt+enter or game option)?

Best regards.

I have the same problem with Sleeping Dogs.  I also have problems with source games like TF2 and Counterstrike:GO.  When you run them windowed fullscreen, if you press shift+tab to pull up the steam overlay, the UI overlay of the game gets squished.  It started with 4.2, it never happened in the past.  They are both steam games so it might be related.  I can provide screenshots if needed.

Mark, for now you can use the following workaround to get rid of the problem with Steam:

Make a new exclusion with only matching to program criterion and set the program criterion C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steam\games\ (this path may differ from yours).

Best regards.

Lefteris, we haven't find workaround for the problem with Sleeping Dogs, but it is enough to disable multi-monitor taskbar to have the problem disappeared.

Best regards.

I was aware of that. Hopefully you'll find a fix that doesn't require that, or add that as a per-program option, to help with compatibility.

I'm glad to notify you that the subject problem doesn't appear in the latest version of AMM 8.10.2 and our other products – now the Steam overlay works correctly when some of our products is running. It would be good if you could confirm this.

Best regards.
