Hi, hopefully not a long-shot question ...

I've twice now lost documents because I opened up another instance of Wordpad, saw the flash on monitor 2, looked up my info in that document, closed it (save?, no), then realized it was actually the one I was composing code in, and the flash was just the document opening before AMM moved it to monitor 4.  And quite a few times, not losing data, I've started looking in a window I thought I just opened and thought, WTF, why did this open up again, when in fact, it had not.

It seems that AMM catches the windows after they open on whatever monitor Windows wants to open it on, and then AMM moves it to the one AMM is set for.  The trouble is, the flash tells my eyes that that's the new window, and it's not.  Losing a document and 6 hours of work this way is like touching a hot stove, and I'm careful now, but is there any way to fix this?  Can't AMM just tell Windows where to open it, or does it have to catch it after it's opened?

I *do like AMM a lot though.

thank you

Hello cliff.

Please check if the "Block premature appearance of window" option on the "Startup" tab of the rule is enabled. If it's not, enable it and check if the window still flashes.

Best regards.

Hmmm ... that sounds like it should fix it.  But I can't find it.  Where exactly is that, please?

Sorry, Actual Window Manager has this option. AMM doesn't have it.

We'll consider the adding of such feature in AMM.

Best regards.

Yes, please add it.  Wow, I hate this pre-flash.  I'll probably buy AMM, my trial is almost over.  This flash is the biggest negative.  If I put AWM on my system will the flash go away? ... or is that something completely different?

AWM includes all features presented in AMM and many others.

Yes, AWM will let you solve the flashing windows problem.

Regards.
