Hi,

I like AMM however there is a pretty severe bug that stops me from buying the product. The AMM 4.0 taskbars don't display the icon from a number of applications I use. This was not a problem in a 3.42. I believe these programs spawn another process at start that is the actual process that displays the icon. Perhaps that could be triggering the bug?

Regards,

Richard

Hello Richard,

Thanks for the post.

Are you running Windows 7 32 or 64-bit?

What applications (names, versions) have you noticed this problem with?

Do you have the problem with pinned icons only or not?

Best regards.

Same problem here, but it seems to be on random programs. Before Evernote (not pinned) wasn't showing up, now it is. Same for Paint (not pinned). RealVNC (pinned) does not show up at all.

Windows 7 64-bit

Same problem for me. It happens with different apps. Not always the same. And I even see that certain pinned icons don't appear in the other taskbars.

I'm using Windows 7 64-bit.

See attached for more detail.

I echo the statement that this is what's holding me back from purchasing.

Edit: Fixed the attachment.

The icons in the first row of the screenshot are as follows:

Explorer | Outlook | IE | Firefox | Chrome | Live Messenger | Skype | TweetDeck | Process Explorer | Remote Desktop | Virtual Box | Notepad++ | JDeveloper | OneNote | Excel | Word | Paint.NET

The second row contains MS Project second from the end.

The third row is just really messed up with icons in the wrong order, icons that should even be there, and several just flat out missing. I've tried Stopping and Starting AMM, even exiting and restarting.

Hi Vasiliy,

It happens on a number of programs without fail, and some programs like SQL Server Management Studio less regularly. One program that always does it is Admin Script Editor. I am using Win 7 32-bit.

Thanks,

Richard

This may also be related to the same problem. Here it is grouping Visual Studio 2010 and Google Chrome and neither have an icon.

In addition, sometimes applications on the secondary monitor are displayed with a totally incorrect icon, cmd console with internet explorer icon and so on.
Also, for some application wrong/different icon is displayed on each monitor. For example, check the total commander lister (F3), and see the different icons when dragging the window from a monitor to another :-(
