I'm using AWM 6.6 on XP SP3. The "Stretch the Start button out to the taskbar" function no longer works on the primary (Windows) taskbar. It still works for the taskbar on the secondary monitor (the one created by AWM). This was working in 6.6, but something changed and it no longer does.

I've tried deselecting the option, clicking the Save button, reselecting it, and clicking the Save button again, but it makes no difference. I've also tried shutting AWM down completely and restarting it, and I've tried reinstalling AWM 6.6. None of this mad any difference.

Hello Mike,

Thanks for the message.

I can't reproduce the problem.

Could you check whether the "Enable taskbar buttons reordering" option and the "Transparency" option work correctly on your primary taskbar or not?

Best regards.

Best regrds.

Yes, they do. I also noticed that, when the Start button is no longer stretched, the tray is empty in the secondary monitor's taskbar. The tray is unaffected on the primary monitor.

I'm beginning to think this is the result of an interaction with something else I'm running. I also found out that, if I turn on virtual desktops, which I don't normally use, and then turn it back off, everything is back to normal.

Normally, when I first boot the computer, and AWM is running, the Start button is stretched like it should be. Occasionally, something that I haven't identified yet happens that results in the Start button no longer being stretched and the tray being empty on the secondary monitor.

Hello Mike,

Thanks for the response.

What time (approximately) does the problem appear after first boot?

Could you give me a list of running applications on your computer?

Best regards.
