AWM 6.6 does not work with Adobe Premiere 5

Hi,
It is a well known annoyance with Adobe Premiere 5 video editing software that it only playback video sequence if program window is active. Simple clicking outside Premiere window forces resource release and playback stop. This is nasty as it's so often necessary to watch video and take some notes etc. in the same time.
Consequently I tried to use AWM 6.6 "ignore deactivation" feature to prevent Premiere from stopping video playback while switching to another application but no luck! Further investigation just shown AWM simply does not work with Adobe Premiere 5 at all. No single AWM feature is affecting Premiere window. AWM menu does not show, AWM title buttons do show but neither are functional nor even stick to Premiere title bar - they just hang on desktop while Premiere window is moved away, etc.
Would you be so kind to verify the above and provide any solution to the problem?
Best regards,
Ziggi
