Apologies if this has already been reported - I can't believe I haven't noticed it before, and I thought I would have submitted it, but I couldn't find anything with the forum search...

I'm using MS Powerpoint 2002 on XP SP3 and AWM 6.1 and now AWM 6.2b1. I have the 'Windows in Taskbar' option set in Powerpoint.

To recreate, I followed this procedure:

1. Open Powerpoint on the primary monitor, and create 2 documents. This results in 2 taskbar icons with the document names in them.

2. Moving the Powerpoint window fr om the primary to secondary monitor, creates a new taskbar icon on the secondary and leaves the document taskbar icons on the primary. The secondary icon is labelled "Microsoft Powerpoint ...".

3. Clicking the icons on the primary causes the documents to switch as it should, and leaves the 'phantom' icon on the secondary taskbar.

4. Moving the window back to the primary monitor causes the 'phantom' taskbar icon to move across also, so now there are 3 icons associated with Powerpoint on the primary taskbar.

5. On the first click of any of the powerpoint icons now on the primary taskbar, the 'phantom' vanishes, leaving just the document icons as before.

I have tested the 'Windows in Taskbar' option in both Powerpoint and Word, but Word seems to work fine - e.g. its taskbar entries go with the window. Perhaps this is because Word creates separate windows for each document, whereas Powerpoint (certainly in my configuration) uses a single window for all documents.

Cheers,

David.
