If it helps...

I've had same on Nvidia Series 7 TITAN, and a new Nvidia 1080.  This has occurred on every current driver version that I have tried.

This happened in my old Win7 PC, as well as the new Win10 PC.

I can also confirm this is happening today on my new Windows 10 laptop.

Dell Latitude E7240
Intel HD Graphics Family (doesn't say which one specifically)

This happens anytime I unlock my desktop.  The entire PC locks up for 30-40 seconds while it reapplies settings.  If I Exit or Disable AWM, this does not happen.

jhardyua,

Could you update your video driver to the latest version and see whether the problem still persists? Intel site says the latest version for Windows 7 is 15.36.33.4578.

Chris,

Do you have any monitors connected to the new Windows 10 laptop?

Best regards.

Yes, there are 2 DVI monitors at 1920x1080@60Hz connected via the docking station.

It should be noted, that the same monitors on the same docking station on the Win7 laptop did NOT do this.  It's only Windows 10 with AWM that has this issue.

Unfortunately, the version you recommended fails to install since my computer does not meet the specified requirements. That's all it tells me.

I also tried 15.40 with the same result.

10.18.14.4432 is the latest version from Dell's site so maybe that's the latest version I can install.

Hello gentlemen,

Chris, please send us your configuration files (Actual Window Manager -> Tools -> Configuration -> Send to Tech Support) from the Windows 10 PC with the problem.

Jhardyua, could you completely disable Multi-monitor taskbar (Actual Multiple Monitors -> Multiple Monitors -> Taskbar -> Multi-monitor taskbar) and check whether you are able to reproduce the problem or not? Please also check whether you are able to reproduce the problem with the test build (download link - https://www.actualtools.com/hfiles/hidden/amm8111_no_mouse_hook.exe ) or not.

You have a copy of my most recent configuration files from yesterday, via another thread here in the Tech Support forum.

Disabling multi-monitor taskbar did not fix the problem. Also, installing the test build you mentioned also did not fix the problem.

Please follow these steps:
1. Check how long it takes when you change the monitors configuration while your Actual Tools product is unloaded (other applications should be closed as well);
2. Then open 15-20 instances of Notepad and check how long it takes to change the monitors configuration (Actual Tools product should be unloaed);
3. Load your Actual Tools product (15-20 instances of Notepad are still opened) and check how long it takes to change the monitors configuration;
4. Provide us your results.

Change configuration with AMM unloaded: 5-6 seconds
Change configuration with 15-20 instances of Notepad: 5-6 seconds
Change configuration with AMM loaded and 15-20 instances of Notepad: 45-55 seconds

I ran this test 3 times, and each came within the time ranges specified above.
