I am running Windows XP Pro SP2 + all updates.

Way too often while AWM 3.8 is running I have problems shutting down or restarting windows. I get warnings like this in my system log:
Code
Event Type:   Warning
Event Source:   USER32
Event Category:   None
Event ID:   1073
Date:      2/14/2006
Time:      11:26:26 AM
User:      NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Computer:   HAL-9000
Description:
The attempt to reboot HAL-9000 failed

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
Data:
0000: 00 00 00 00               ....

If I disable AWM or at least shut it down first I *NEVER* have this problem. (Note: This issue doesn't occur every time.) Any clues as to where to start troubleshooting?

Best regards,
FlyingHorse

Please, could you tell what hardware configuration has your PC and what programs do you use AWM with?

Yes, it would be the best way. Do you still have this problem? Does the problem remain if you use 4.0 beta?

It was been discovered in our private e-mail conversation, that BitDefender antivirus is the cause of the above-mentioned problem. More exactly, its updating module being run causes that event appearance.

We'll investigate the situation further to find the exact reason and try to fix this issue.

It seems that a recent update of the BitDefender program has corrected this problem. :D

Everything is working fine now.

Does this concern not the latest beta but the 3.8 version too?

Sorry, I don't know about the 3.8 as I haven't used it since the betas for 4.0 have come out.
