Two apps that this happens with are VLC media player and VMWare. This happens regardless of the "Enable compatibility for maximized windows" being on or off. The problem started with version 4.0.

I figured out that if I enabled or disable (doesn't matter which) compatibility mode for maximized windows when the problem is happening, it fixes it. But I have to do it every time I open VLC.

Could you send me your configuration files (Actual Window Manager -> Tools -> Configuration -> Send to Tech Support) with a step by step description of how to reproduce this problem?

Hmm, I guess it's not happening anymore. If it does, I'll post the logs.
