I recently re-downloaded and installed the latest v6.0 installer but still seem to have a problem with selecting load at startup from the Actions|Options..|General menu.

Whenever I check Load at startup and hit apply, AWM closes the options dialog window and minimizes to the toolbar and the check-box does not get checked (thus does not load at startup).

Dear Matt,

Please, help us to track down with the problem.

Could you try to do following:
  • run Configuration module
  • unload the Control Center
  • try to check Load at start up option and apply it again

Also, could you check does your user have permissions for writing in registry HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

If you send us your AWM configuration - it will be good too

With AWM open, I opened the Configuration from the start menus, then unloaded AWM from that control panel, switch to options and then click load at startup.  Still didn't work...

I have Admin rights to this machine so I should, but checked anyway and I have 'Full Control' and 'Read'. 'Special Permissions' is grayed out and not checked.

AWM config on the way, send from configuration manager.

I haven't heard from anyone, is there a solution to this issue?

Matt,

I'm afraid we still cannot reproduce this issue on our test computers.
Would it be possible for you to give us a remote access to your computer (via Remote Desktop, VNC or any other software)?

Matt,

Could you please try to create a shortcut to ActualWindowManagerCenter.exe in the Start -> Programs -> Startup and check if AWM would start in this case?

Please also make sure that Run as admin option is turned off in the Compatibility page of Properties dialog for ActualWindowManagerCenter.exe.
