Hi,
So I'm attempting to have a screensaver play a video on a second monitor anytime the monitor isn't in use, ie whenever a regular screensaver would kick in. I've found a couple different methods to do this in Windows, but neither of them work when I bring Actual Multiple Monitors (I'm using v8.14.17).
Is this something anyone that has successfully managed? I've currently been trying with mp4, but if it can be made to work then I'm super flexible on file type.
Thanks.

Hi,
Thank you for your request.
Currently, our products do not have a native screen saver that could play a video, try to find a 3rd party screen saver (old
Microsoft Screen Saver
worked good but it may be incompatible with the latest updates of
Win10/11
).

We checked
Microsoft Screen Saver
with the latest updates of
Win10/11
, and it worked as expected.
However, it's quite an old application so there are two disadvantages:
its official support had been discontinued long ago so that you can download its installation package only from free file archives (like
this
)
it may not support modern file formats (like MP4 or MKV)
Despite that, it's still reliable and neat utility that definitely worths trying.

Hi Alex,
This is wonderful, thanks so much! I've no idea how this solution passed me by, I thought I was already all over every solution out there.
I'll get on this and give it a go, thanks again!

Just to follow this up.
I've tried Microsoft Screensaver Video via powertoys, absolutely no joy. It won't run without WMP9 installed. WM9 will not install on Win 10.
I've attempted a more convoluted way of doing it, by using AHK to call VLC to play a video after a certain time has passed, I hit exactly the same issue in AMM
Screensaver failed to start Try another Screensaver.
It's kind of feeling like AMM just isn't going to play ball.
