According to the User Guide:
In the Minimize Window Manually group mark the Via Close button click check box.
Firefox Quantum closes completely when the Close (X) button is clicked.

I was able to adjust the option the way so that it works with Firefox Quantum version 57.0 (64-bit) in Windows 7 64-bit. Version of Actual Window Minimizer - 8.11.2.
What OS are you running (version, 32- or 64-bit)?
What versions of Actual Window Minimizer and Firefox Quantum are you running?
Did you adjusted this option in the Specific Settings for Firefox? Are you sure these settings were applied to the Firefox window (you can check it by clicking the wrench icon title button on the Firefox window)?
Best regards.

Thank you for your reply.
OS: Windows 10 Fall Creators Update x64
AWM: 8.11.2
Firefox Quantum: 57.0 x64
I've tried everything. Interestingly though, the About Firefox window minimizes when clicking it's Close (X) button, just not Firefox itself.
Is there a way to reset all the AWM settings to it's default so that I could start from scratch?

Yes, there is. You need to close Actual Window Manager completely and go to %appdata%\Actual Tools folder. Then delete the Actual Window Manager folder and restart the application.
Try to adjust only the Minimize Window Manually option in the standard specific settings for Firefox without changing other options. Let us know the result.
Best regards.

This is a screenshot of the settings, and no, that doesn't work. The AWM button at the top right does minimize FF, just not the Close (X).

I can confirm the feature doesn't work with Firefox in Windows 10 x64. We'll try to fix it and will post in this topic when it's fixed.
Best regards.
