My Favorite Folders list used to contain 25-30 entries and it is not completely blank. This may have occurred after the upgrade to v8.10 but I can't be certain of that. Since this contained a fairly extensive list of entries, recreating them all would take a significant amount of time. I also don't have recollection of all the entries that it contained so recreating all the entries fr om memory would be next to impossible.

I first wanted to report this issue, but also hope to find out wh ere the Favorite Folders list is stored within the configuration files so that I may be able to use an earlier file to restore this list without having to recreate it manually. I use the Favorite Folders feature extensively, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Using:
Windows 10, 64 bit
AWM 8.10

Hello, chgoguy7

Do you have other options that differ from the standard settings? Do they stay the same?

The list of the Favorite Folders is stored in the following file:
%appdata%\Actual Tools\Actual Window Manager\RecentFolders.ini

Please see whether this file is in the folder and whether it is not empty. Let us know. Would be helpful if you could send us the configuration files using the Send to Tech Support tool (Configuration module > Tools > Configuration > Send to Tech Support).

You can restore the list if you have the version of this file, which contains this list. You need to close Actual Window Manager, place the file in the folder and start AWM again.

The RecentFolders.ini file was present. I renamed it and restored an older version of this file from backup, and my Favorite Folders are now restored.

Not sure what may have happened but I'm just glad I was able to restore them. Thanks for your help!
